A Leeton man suffered serious injuries after losing control of his motorcycle in Johnson County on Thursday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that around 6:15 a.m., 50-year-old Ronald Watson was riding his motorcycle northbound on Route 23, when at the junction with Route WW, Watson pressed his clutch instead of his brake. That caused the bike to overturn and skid, traveling off the right side of the roadway, overturning again and ejecting Watson. He refused treatment at the scene.
