Kansas City’s new CPKC Stadium will host the 2024 National Women’s Soccer League Championship this fall.
The league announced Wednesday that this year’s playoffs will culminate in the final match taking place the evening of Nov. 23rd at the home of the Kansas City Current. The 11,500 CPKC Stadium along the Missouri River is considered the world’s first stadium built primarily for a women’s professional sports team, and has already seen eight sellouts this season.
Eight of the league’s 14 teams will qualify for the NWSL playoffs. Kansas City are currently first in the standings, ahead of Orlando with more goals scored. The two teams are set to clash Saturday in Kansas City.
