A one-vehicle accident just after midnight Thursday morning sent three Howard County teens to an area hospital.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 16-year-old boy from Fayette was driving a pickup truck southbound on Route 87 when the vehicle went off the left side of the road and overturned. The driver and a 13-year-old boy from Armstrong received minor injuries, while a 14-year-old girl from Glasgow suffered moderate injuries. All three were taken to a Columbia hospital for treatment. Troopers say the teens were not wearing seat belts.
