The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a motorcycle crash in Howard County on Thursday, July 4.

According to a report, the accident occurred when a motorcycle driven by 24-year-old Matthew Gibbons struck a deer in the westbound lane of Missouri 124. The motorcycle overturned after striking the deer.

Gibbons was transported to University Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

The crash occurred at 12:35 p.m. in Howard County.
