Two area students performed well at the 2024 FCCLA National Leadership Conference.

Lane Cruse and Abigail Rice from Salisbury Junior High competed in the National STAR Event Competition at the 2024 FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Seattle, Washington, from June 29 to July 3.

The 2024 FCCLA National Leadership Conference (NLC) drew more than 8,000 students, educators, and guests from across the nation. This gathering provided a valuable platform for attendees to expand their leadership skills, sharpen their talents, explore career pathways, and listen to inspiring speakers.

Cruse competed in the Professional Presentation STAR Event and achieved a gold medal . Rice competed in the Entrepreneurship STAR Event and achieved a gold medal being recognized on stage for receiving 2nd place in her category.

FCCLA has over 240,000 members and more than 5,200 chapters across the nation.
