
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded resurfacing contracts in a pair of Northeast Missouri counties Wednesday to two firms.
Two of the contracts are for resurfacing U.S. Route 63 through Randolph and southern Macon counties. Magruder Paving won the contract for resurfacing five portions of the highway between Macon and Moberly, totaling $7.8 million. Capital Paving and Construction won the bid to resurface U.S. Route 63 from U.S. Route 24 south to the junction with Route 22. Capital Paving also received the contract to resurface U.S. Route 24 from the Chariton County line east to 1.5 miles west of the Route C junction in Huntsville. These two contracts total $6.6 million.
A timeline for the projects will be released prior to the work beginning.
