Five Odessa residents were injured in a three-vehicle crash on Missouri Highway 131 in Lafayette County on Thursday, July 18.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occured when a northbound vehicle driven by 82-year-old John Daniel traveled into the southbound lane and struck the sides of two other vehicles. The other vehicles were driven by 42-year-old Brandon Meador and 32-year-old Sonja Begemann.

Daniel suffered serious injuries in the crash, while a passenger in his vehicle had moderate injuries. Both drivers of the other vehicles had moderate injuries in the crash. A passenger in Meador’s vehicle was also injured in the crash. All of the injured parties were transported to Centerpoint Medical Center for treatment.

The accident occurred at 1:15 p.m. on Missouri 131 at Mulberry Road in Lafayette County.
