The Missouri State High School Activities Association is seeking proposals for sites around the state to host state championship events in two sports.

The MSHSAA Board of Directors will accept bids for sites wishing to host the boys’ volleyball championship for the spring 2025 through 2028 seasons. The first state tournament took place in May at Maryville University in Saint Louis County.

MSHSAA is also seeking bids for future hosts of the state softball championships for both the fall and spring seasons, starting in fall 2026 and concluding in the spring of 2031. The Killian Sports Complex in Springfield has hosted the state tournament since 2010. Proposals do not have to cover all years up for bids, but in its request for proposals, MSHSAA says that they reserve the right to consider the benefit of long-term commitments.

Bids for both championship events are due to MSHSAA on August 14th at 10 a.m.

Last season, 350 Missouri high schools fielded softball teams in the fall season, while 152 programs competed in the spring. 82 schools registered for boys volleyball last year, with 53 of them in the St Louis area and 17 in Kansas City.
