A Kansas driver suffered moderate injuries after losing control of his vehicle on a Cooper County roadway.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that just before 8 p.m. Saturday, a car driven by 27-year-old Matthew Davis went off the right side of Route AA as he was driving westbound a half-mile shy of Oakland Church Road. Davis overcorrected, causing him to cross the roadway, strike a fencepost and overturn. Davis was taken to a Columbia hospital. Troopers say he was not wearing a seatbelt.
