Portions of Business Route 13 into Warrensburg will be closed this week to allow the collection of pavement core samples.

The Johnson County Commission is collecting the samples from the roadway outside the city limits in preparation for the road’s resurfacing. Flagging operations will be in place to allow one lane of traffic to pass along areas closed for collection. The county expects to put the resurfacing project out to bid later this year, with county-maintained portions of the roadway receiving a new surface next summer.
