With just weeks to go until the start of the 2024-25 school year, school districts including Slater are putting the finishing touches on summer projects to update and improve their campuses.

Slater Superintendent Dr Terry Lorenz says that means touch-ups inside and outside of school buildings.

Work has also taken place on Slater’s baseball and softball diamonds.

The school year for Slater starts Aug. 21st. Slater’s school board will next meet Aug. 27th, with the tax rate hearing at 4:30 p.m.
