A man from the state of California has died after losing control of his truck Saturday afternoon on Interstate 70 in Lafayette County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the one-vehicle accident around 4:15 in the westbound lanes of I-70 just before mile marker 55. Troopers say that 22-year-old Braulia Cabera Castro went off the left side of the roadway, then overcorrected and went off the right side, overturning and striking a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
