
Brazilian midfielder Debinha scored twice in 16 minutes to lead the Kansas City Current past Pachuca 3-0 on Saturday night at CPKC Stadium in the second group stage match in the Summer Cup.
Debinha claimed her first goal in the 12th minute, then received a pass from forward Kristen Hamilton to net the second goal in the 28th minute. Hamilton would add to the Current’s tally four minutes later. Goalkeeper AD Franch registered two second-half saves.
The Current are two-for-two in the cross-league cup’s group stage. UANL Tigres will next visit the Current at CPKC Stadium on Thursday.
