Saline County Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden was appointed as the Rural Development Subcommittee Vice Chair of the National Association of Counties (NACo) Agriculture and Rural Affairs Policy Steering Committee.

NACo President James Gore appointed Gooden to a one-year term on the committee shortly after being sworn in on July 15. Gooden says she is honored to have been appointed to the position.

The caucus focuses on a wide range of responsibilities that are vital to the growth, sustainability, and well-being of these areas. Gooden says key initiatives include infrastructure development, broadband deployment, healthcare improvements, and more.
