Saline County Clerk Brittni Burton and her office completed a test Friday of equipment that will count the county’s ballots cast in the primary election Aug. 6th.

Burton explains that a pair of judges from Marshall—Mary LaFrenz and Thom Ward—conducted the test.

Per state law, Burton and the two judges also selected a precinct at random for a manual recount.

Certification of the results from the Aug. 6th primary election is scheduled for Aug. 12th.
