The 8th annual Shopping Under the Sun event is scheduled to be held in Marshall on Saturday, August 3.

The event will be held on the Marshall Square from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be a beer garden beginning at 6.

There will be live music throughout the event featuring multiple different artists. Marshall Cultural Council Board Member Ashley Boock says there are a lot of activities for children and adults.

Residents can also enjoy a magic show and A chainsaw carving show throughout the day. The Midwestern Hydrocephalus Coalition is also hosting a car on the square as well. Registration begins at 8 a.m., with awards to be presented at 2 p.m.

The evening beer garden begins at 6, with gates opening at 5:30. There will be live concerts, with the J Love Band playing from 6 to 8 p.m., and The Cherry Pistols performing from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
