Attendees of the Missouri State Fair looking to claim an unreserved campground site can do so starting Friday morning.

The campgrounds on the west side of the fairgrounds will open 9 a.m. Friday, but lineup will begin earlier in the morning. Campers wishing to claim an unreserved spot will need to enter the fairgrounds through the Centennial Gate off Route 65, and pay for their permit upon lineup. Fair officials will only issue a permit to camping units and not other vehicles lining up to save a spot. The fair advises campers to have their form of payment ready and emergency contact form downloaded from the fair’s website and completed prior to arrival.

95 full hook-up sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once these spots are claimed, only dry camping sites will remain.

Additional details about public camping are available on the Missouri State Fair’s website.
