Sedalia School District 200 has a new set of logos and branding to identify the district and its schools.
Upon its approval at Monday’s board of education meeting, Sedalia Schools made public their new emblem, which emphasizes their motto of “Providing the Path of Opportunity”. Communications director Bob Satnan details how the motto is reflected in the district’s new crest.
Satnan says four stars at the top of the logo represent the four character pillars of the National Honor Society: Scholarship, Service, Leadership and Character. The district also approved a new design for the Smith-Cotton Tiger, which Satnan adds will represent all the district’s schools and not just the high school.
A committee of stakeholders partnered with the Sedalia-based marketing firm Callis to design the new logos and branding. Sedalia Schools will spend the next year phasing in their new emblems.
