Descendants of the historic Pennytown community will gather Sunday at the historic Pennytown Freewill Baptist Church south of Marshall for the annual homecoming.

Organizer Virginia Huston says evangelist Willie Harlow will deliver this year’s sermon.

Attendees will then gather for dinner at the Martin Community Center at 12:30, featuring beef brisket on the menu, for a suggested donation of $15. Huston says a historic presentation will follow.

Pennytown Freewill Baptist Church is located on Kittyhawk Drive, 1.5 miles south of Route H. Additional details about the homecoming are available on the church’s website and Facebook page.
