Erick Fedde’s debut with the St. Louis Cardinals was spoiled by the Chicago Cubs in a 6-3 loss on Friday, August 2.

The Cubs got to Fedde in the second inning, scoring five runs to take a commanding lead. Fedde went five innings, allowing six hits and striking out four.

The Cardinals only mustered four hits in the ballgame, scoring a run in the third and two more in the eighth, but ultimately falling short.

The Cardinals fall to 56-54 on the season.
