Resurfacing projects begin Monday on a pair of highways through Howard County.
The Missouri Department of Transportation will begin a three-month project to resurface Route 240 from Route 5 in Fayette to U.S. Route 40 north of Rocheport. Crews will also resurface Route 5 from Route 87 in Glasgow to the Route 40 junction south of New Franklin. One lane will remain open, with flag crews directing motorists through each work zone. Additionally on Route 5, roadside work is planned in Glasgow beginning Tuesday through Thursday from Route V to Valley View Drive, while pedestrian improvements continue on Route 240 in Fayette.
Three Cooper County roadways will also undergo pavement repairs this week. MoDOT will keep one lane open during projects to fix the pavement along Routes J, N and Z. Work on these three routes will take place between Monday and Thursday.
