
Robert E. Landreth, 92 of Slater, formerly of Marshall, died Saturday, August 3, 2024 at his home.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 9, 2024 at 5:00 P.M. at Weiker Funeral Home with Jeff Page officiating. Inurnment will be in the Slater City Cemetery Columbarium at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Big Bend Retreat.
Born July 25, 1932, in Sweet Springs, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary Wright. On January 23, 1951 in Marshall, he married Julia Mae Butler, and she preceded him in death on July 7, 2022.
He is survived by a son, Steven Landreth and his wife Barbara of Tyler, Texas; a daughter, Joy Bryson and her husband Danny of Slater; six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Landreth; two brothers; and a sister.
Mr. Landreth retired as a Chief Telecommunications Officer with the C.I.A. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a member of the American Legion Post #558 in Malta Bend.
