The Concordia Board of Aldermen scheduled a hearing regarding the proposed 2024 Tax Levy during its meeting on Monday, August 5.

The board scheduled the hearing for 5:30 p.m. Monday, August 19, right before the board’s regular meeting. City Administrator Dale Klussman said the hearing will allow citizens to provide input on the proposed tax levy.

The board is also holding a public hearing at 5 p.m. Monday, September 23, regarding the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 budget.

In other news, Klussman said that the Concordia Aquatic Center was unable to host a “Doggy Day” swim this year due to a lack of lifeguards. However, the board said it schedule the event for next year with more planning and advertising.
