After 4376 ballots were cast in Saline County, clerk Brittni Burton and her office have one last task to complete from Tuesday’s primary election before turning their attention to November

Burton says her office will host the certification process Monday morning.

As part of the process, the Orearville precinct and the 109 ballots cast there will be manually recounted. Burton notes that one common problem at the polls was people showing up wanting to register and vote on the same day. She reminds Saline County residents that voters must register prior to election day.

Saline County Clerk Brittni Burton adds that her office will also begin their search for poll workers to staff precincts during the general election Nov. 5th.
