
Missouri Valley College celebrated the opening of the Julie Ann Deems Julien School of Nursing and Health Sciences with a ribbon cutting on Friday, August 9.
Many of the Marshall and Missouri Valley community attended the ceremony to witness the opening of the new home for MVC’s School of Nursing. MVC President Joseph Parisi spoke and thanked everyone involved with the project, including the Julien family, the MVC Board of Trustees, and former MVC President Bonnie Humphrey. Parisi expressed his excitement during the ceremony and said this facility is a sign of things to come at Missouri Valley.
Many guest speakers gave remarks regarding the new building and the hard work that went into funding and constructing it. Some of those speakers include Board of Trustees Chairman Matt Huston, VP of Academic Affairs Cynthia Bice, Assistant Professor of Nursing Deanna Donnell, and Tawnya Julien Neal. The Saline County Commission was also in attendance and presented a proclamation to celebrate the ribbon cutting and the Julien family.
The Julie Ann Deems Julien School of Nursing and Health Sciences is located on the corner of College Street and Brunswick Avenue on the campus of Missouri Valley College in Marshall.
