Two area residents were arrested and charged after Sedalia Police responded to a burglary during the early morning hours of Monday, August 12.

According to the Sedalia Police Department, officers responded to Ingram Auto Spa car wash on East Broadway Boulevard at 12:44 a.m. in reference to a burglary. Security cameras captured video of the suspects forcing entry into the building before officers arrived.

Police quickly arrived and located the suspects, identified as 28-year-old Logan Madson, of Lincoln, and 23-year-old Zakary Seaman, of Warrensburg. Officers found that damage to the business estimated to be over $760. Police also located a pair of gloves, a pry bar, and a mask near the business. Both suspects were arrested and formally charged.

Madson was charged with burglary in the second degree, possession of burglary tools, and property damage in the first degree. Seaman is facing a felony charge for burglary in the second degree. Both for both subjects is set at $25,000 cash or surety.

No court dates have been set at this time.
