Two boys from Harrisonville were injured—one seriously—after overturning their ATV in western Johnson County on Sunday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the two 12-year-olds were riding an ATV around 10 a.m. on private property along SW 225th Road outside Holden, when the ATV went airborne attempting to make a turn. A passenger jumped from the vehicle before it landed, sustaining only minor injuries. The driver remained onboard and ended up with the ATV on top of him after it landed and overturned. The unnamed driver suffered serious injuries. The two boys were taken to a Kansas City area hospital.
