Several area city governments are meeting on Monday, August 19. All of the area municipalities are hosting public hearings to hear input regarding the tax levy for the next fiscal year.

The Concordia Board of Aldermen is meeting at 5 p.m. at the Concordia Community Center. The board will enter into a public hearing at 5:30 to receive input concerning the property tax rate of .8897 percent for the next fiscal year.

The Carrollton Town Council and Higginsville Board of Aldermen are both meeting at 6, with the public hearings being held prior to the meeting. The Sedalia City Council is scheduled to meet at 6:30, and the Boonville City Council will meet at 7.

Each council and board will also consider bills to approve the proposed tax rate for the next fiscal year.
