The Carrollton Town Council approved a resolution to apply for a Community Development Block Grant for building improvements on the Carrollton Square.

The resolution was approved during Monday night’s council meeting. Mayor Susan Bliss said the grant could help cover the cost of various improvements for up to ten buildings in downtown Carrollton.

The CDBG Program is designed to support community development activities to build stronger and more resilient communities.

In other news, the council approved the appointment of Chris Thomas to the Library Board.
