Jennifer was born June 24, 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri to William Ray and Barbara Ellen (Savage) Miller. She was the fourth of five children. She attended Meadowbrook Elementary and Oak Park High School in Kansas City.
In 1975 at the age of 15 she moved to San Antonio, Texas where she had her first child, Mandy. She returned to Kansas City, where she met and married her first husband and had a son, Ronald Stanley, Jr. in 1979. Her son’s death in May of 2023 left her heartbroken.
After divorcing her first and second husbands, she met Phil Evans, they were married and moved to Denver, Colorado. Following their divorce, they remained close.
Jennifer had various jobs during her working years, she worked for Hallmark in Liberty, Missouri for a short time, was a microfilmer at 3M in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, worked at Volume Services at Kauffman and Arrowhead stadiums, was an assistant manager at Phillips 66 in Denver, Colorado and worked in production at Crosswind Petfoods in Sabetha, Kansas.
She loved her home teams, cheering on the Royals and Chiefs! She had a passion for NASCAR and Coca-Cola, collecting memorabilia related to them. She was also fond of quilting and tie-dying. In her younger years she enjoyed square dancing. She loved playing Bingo at the VFW Hall in North Kansas City and Liberty, and anywhere else that offered the game. In her later years she joined the Ladies Auxiliary at the VFW in North Kansas City. Her beloved cats, PJ, Presley and Baby meant the world to her. Jennifer cherished spending time with her family and raising her children. She was very fond of her son in law, Russell, whom she thought of as her own son.
She was known for her love of America. If she saw a business or government office with a tattered or improperly displayed flag, she would bring it to their attention until it was remedied. She was always willing to help others, even when it wasn’t practical to do so.
Following the death of her parents, her father in 1993 and mother in 2013, the family unit began to fall apart.
Jennifer was a loving and devoted mother who would do anything for her children. She is survived by her daughter Mandy (Russell) Young of Carrollton, Missouri, grandson Kaleb Young of Kansas City, Missouri and her brother David Miller of Independence, Missouri.
