Tax revenues collected in Saline County during July were higher compared to the previous month.

Figures announced by Saline County Treasurer Jared Brewer at last week’s commission meeting show that the county brought in $114,413.47, a five-percent gain compared to June. Year-over-year, however, revenues were down about two percent. Similar totals were collected for the county’s law enforcement and economic development sales taxes.

Use tax collections during July increased fractionally over the previous year at $116,945.72. Compared to June, collections were up by seven percent.

Year-to-date, average monthly sales tax collections are up 4.6 percent, with use tax up 20.3 percent.
