Missouri Valley women’s volleyball dropped both contests Tuesday afternoon in Columbia, falling to a pair of top-15 opponents.

After winning a grueling first game against seventh-ranked Columbia College 29-27, the Vikings were unable to keep up with the Cougars the rest of the way, dropping the remaining games 25-13, 25-17, and 27-25. The Vikings were then swept by 13th-ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan with all three games finishing 25-21.

Senior hitter Ana Oro recorded a double-double in both contests, claiming 25 kills and 19 digs on the day. Sophomore setter Paige Siebert added 31 assists. The Vikings had seven blocks in each game, with nine aces against Columbia and five against Oklahoma Wesleyan.

Mo Valley are now 3-3 on the season and have their first home contests of the year this weekend with the Viking Invitational. The Vikings will face Tabor on Friday afternoon at 5, followed by Heart of America foes William Penn and Graceland on Saturday. Those contests will not count toward conference standings.
