The annual sale of properties whose owners have fallen behind on their taxes is set for the morning of Monday, Aug. 26 in each of Missouri’s 114 counties.

In Saline County, collector Cindi Sims says that 27 properties remain on the sale list as of Thursday morning. Owners have until 4:30 p.m. Friday to pay their back taxes in order to remove their property from the sale. Friday is also the deadline for prospective buyers to register.

Sims explains how she plans to conduct Monday’s sale.

Again, each county’s tax sale takes place at 10 a.m. Monday.
