High school football will have its unofficial start to the season Friday night with jamboree action throughout Missouri.

KMMO AM 1300 will feature an eight-man jamboree hosted at Santa Fe starting at 6:30 pm Friday.  Our coverage begins at 6:15 p.m. as the Chiefs host Concordia, Concordia St. Paul Lutheran, and Sweet Springs.

The Marshall Owls are also scheduled for jamboree action Friday at California, competing against the Pintos along with Camdenton and Father Tolton.

Other jamborees, both eight-man and 11-man, scheduled for tonight include:

  • Carrollton: the Trojans’ jamboree will feature Kansas City East, Lexington and Polo.
  • Crest Ridge: Knob Noster and Windsor will join the Cougars.
  • Fayette: Central Methodist University will host the Falcons’ jamboree, featuring Harrisburg, North Callaway and Salisbury.
  • Keytesville: the BKN Thunder host Northwest (Hughesville), Princeton and Slater.
  • Moberly: the Spartans will host Hallsville and Macon.  A second jamboree in Moberly will feature Boonville, Centralia, and Chillicothe.
  • Orrick: the Bearcats welcome Wellington-Napoleon, Northland Christian and Plattsburg.
  • Sedalia: Smith-Cotton will host Harrisonville and School of the Osage.
  • Versailles: Clinton, Cole Camp and Tipton will visit.
