Margot M. Evans, 86, of Otterville, died Friday, August 23, 2024 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Sedalia, with Rev. Robert Sisney officiating. Inurnment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorials are suggested to the Sedalia Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home.
Born March 5, 1938 in Ludwigshafen, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Ida Baiker Walter. On March 31, 1984 in Pasadena, California, she married John Wesley Evans, and he preceded her in death on June 26, 2011.
She is survived by a son, James Youngs of Pasadena, California; a step-son, Bobby Fuchs of Bend, Oregon; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hildegard Rottmeier of Germany. She was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Youngs; a daughter, Jeanette Youngs; and a step-son, Freddy Fuchs.
Mrs. Evans worked at Tyson Foods in Sedalia for several years before retiring. She moved to the United States from Germany in 1960, residing in California, before moving to Otterville in 1996. She attended the First Baptist Church in Otterville.
