Crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation will brave the heat to complete several maintenance projects around the region Monday, Aug. 26.

Route 13 between the Interstate 70 junction in Higginsville and the northern roundabout with Business Route 13 will have portions reduced to one lane for pavement repair. Flag crews will direct traffic through work zones. This project is scheduled to last all week.

Meanwhile, Route MM east of Dresden is closed Monday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for pavement repair work between Whitfield and Menefee roads. Pothole repairs continue on Route N in Cooper County this week, as will shoulder repairs in Saline County along Routes 41 and 240 and milling work on U.S. Route 65 through Carroll County. Pavement repairs also begin this week on Route 11 between Routes M and C in Chariton County, including the city of Mendon.

Several culverts are set for replacement beginning Monday. Crews will keep one lane open and flag traffic through as they replace culverts in western Howard County, first on Route E between County Roads 220 and 315, and then Route J outside Boonesboro between County Roads 330 and 335.

Lastly, bridge maintenance work in Moberly continues on the U.S. Route 24 bridge over the railroad spur west of North Morley Road. Lane restrictions will go back in place between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.
