With a major travel holiday approaching, the Missouri Department of Transportation will seek to complete several projects this week to allow a smoother drive for travelers.
Pavement repairs will take place along Route T in Pettis County, north from U.S. Route 50 in Dresden to Route D south of Houstonia. A flagging operation will direct traffic through the work zone Tuesday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Also in Pettis County, the Route U bridge over Flat Creek just south of Sedalia will undergo inspection Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. One lane will remain open during the inspection.
Culvert replacements are scheduled to begin Wednesday in two area counties. Route 129 west of Roanoke in Howard County, between Routes 3 and T, will have one lane remain open during a culvert replacement project Wednesday and Thursday. However, Route BB in southern Randolph County will close Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. a half-mile east of County Road 2210. The roadway will also close Thursday at County Road 2170, also from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Updated closures and road work information is available on MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map.
