Larry Price Aulgur, 76, of Marshall, MO, died Thursday, August 29, 2024, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Memorial visitation will be from 10:00 to11:00 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2024, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday at Missouri State Veterans’ Cemetery in Higginsville. Born January 4, 1948, in Sioux Falls, SD, he was the son of the late Raymond Price Aulgur and Dorothy Hegdahl Aulgur. Larry was a 1967 graduate of Meredosia High School in Chambersburg, IL. In 1968, he joined the United States Air Force where he served a tour in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1972 and received three bronze stars and the good conduct medal. On April 27, 1985, he married Margaret Lee Rose who preceded him in death on March 7, 2015. Larry had a 21-year career with the Missouri Department of Corrections as a corrections officer until his retirement in 2006. He was a member of the Slater American Legion 78, Slater V.F.W., Disabled American Veterans in Columbia, Vietnam Veterans of America in Columbia and the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association.
Survivors include a son, Robbie Berryman (Mimi) of Prescott, AZ; a daughter, Kelly Ward (David) of Marshall; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Bob Aulgur of Slater; one sister, Pat Butler (Jimmy) of Marshall; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.
In addition to his parents and wife, Larry was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Kalthoff.
