Improvements to the Saline County square this summer included new benches and picnic tables around the square.

Human Resources director Jackie Woods says materials used in the benches were sourced locally.

Woods says a state grant covered the fixtures’ cost.

The new benches and tables were manufactured by Back-Atcha and installed over the past month.
