Vendors wanting to show their Tiger Pride for Sedalia Schools could soon find themselves needing to sign a licensing agreement if they want to sell merchandise sporting the district’s new logos.

Superintendent Dr Todd Fraley led discussion at last week’s school board meeting on whether the district should establish criteria and charge royalties for use of the new logos on merchandise like shirts and sports gear.

Fraley says the district is considering three licensing levels.

While licensing was just a discussion item at last week’s school board meeting, Sedalia’s School Board did agree to sign a one-year agreement with Game One to supply sporting goods and uniforms to the district. They also approved creating another assistant coach position for the junior high wrestling program, and approved the nomination of Jim Dinsdale and Chad Williams to the Smith-Cotton Hall of Fame.
