Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre producing artistic director Quin Gresham recently announced his departure from the theatre to begin a new role at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival in November.

The theatre announced Tuesday morning that Gresham will be leaving the Arrow Rock community to become the new artistic director of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Gresham spoke with KMMO News about the announcement and reflected on his 20 years spent with the Lyceum.

Gresham will officially be leaving at the end of October, following the performances of Moriarty: A New Sherlock Holmes Adventure and Million Dollar Quartet. He will begin his new role as artistic director of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival on November 4. Gresham says he is excited to begin his new role, but will always remember his time with the Lyceum.

Gresham will return to Arrow Rock this December to direct the tenth anniversary of his adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
