A Green Ridge man was arrested and charged after authorities from the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office and Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on Wednesday, September 4.

The search warrant was the result of a continuous drug investigation.

Upon arrival, 55-year-old Charles Spellmeyer, of Green Ridge, was detained and search was conducted of the residence.

Methamphetamine and fentanyl was located during the search in addition to forged license plates. Detectives also found fake urine, which Spellmeyer admitted to using to pass drug tests for his probation. Spellmeyer was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. He does have several prior convictions for possession and distribution of a controlled substance.

Court documents say Spellmeyer has been charged with felonies for trafficking drugs in the second degree, possession of a controlled substance, and two for forgery. No bond has been allowed. No court appearances have been scheduled at this time.
