A Chilhowee woman suffered serious injuries after losing control of her SUV north of the city Monday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the one-vehicle accident around 9:45 on Route F, about a mile north of Chilhowee. Troopers say that 23-year-old Sirenity Laredo was driving west on the highway when she failed to make a curve and went off the right side of the roadway. The SUV struck a ditch and overturned. Laredo was taken to a Warrensburg hospital for treatment.
