The Marshall Public Schools Board of Education has adopted the district’s long range facility plan.

The plan approved at Tuesday night’s meeting comes as the district prepares to replace three of their older buildings with a new intermediate school next year at the former Habilitation Center site, now known as the Northeast Campus. Superintendent Caleb Petet says the plan has been in the works since his arrival to the district three years ago.

Petet explains the three tiers of priorities.

With the intermediate school still on track to open in August 2025, Petet says attention will soon turn to the future of Benton and Northwest schools. Petet says he plans on community forums to receive input on what to do with the facilities this fall.
