The Moberly School District Board of Education approved a new Alma Mater for the High School during its meeting on Tuesday, September 10.

Superintendent Cristina Wright said the Alma Mater was composed by and performed by Brant Lucas, a student in the district.

The public will have a chance to hear the anthem for the first time during Moberly’s Homecoming game on October 4.

In other news, the board reviewed the district’s state assessment data regarding student performance.

Wright also mentioned that the number of students dropping out has decreased annually.
