Marshall Police and Marshall Public Schools say they have identified and apprehended the source of a social media threat made against the district.

Superintendent Caleb Petet provided an update during a visit to the KMMO Studios this Friday, Sept. 13.

Petet says with the exception of an outdoor lunch planned at one school, all activities at Marshall Schools are back to normal. He says amid the string of copycat posts across the region, it’s important for parents to educate their children about proper online behavior.

Marshall Superintendent Caleb Petet thanked law enforcement as well as the district’s parents and staff for their diligence and support while the threat was investigated.
