Ahead of Saturday’s Top-25 showdown between Mizzou and Boston College at Faurot Field, the University of Missouri System Board of Curators approved plans for a $250 million renovation of the surrounding Memorial Stadium.

Meeting Thursday afternoon in Kansas City, curators voted unanimously for the plans, which they call a “transformative” project that would “elevate the fan experience and solidify Mizzou’s competitive standing in the Southeastern Conference”. The most significant change will be the addition of a north concourse, enclosing the stadium, while preserving the signature Rock M hillside. The renovations also call for new premium seating options, modernized concessions, enhanced restrooms, and a new stadium entry plaza.

Curators plan to break ground Nov. 30th during the Battle Line Rivalry game against Arkansas, with the goal of completing the renovations by 2026, when Mizzou will mark the 100th anniversary of Memorial Stadium and Faurot Field.
