A Smithton woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash in Pettis County on Friday, September 13.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by 74-year-old Janice Burnett traveled off the roadway and struck an embankment and a fence, before returning to the roadway.

Burnett was transported to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia for treatment of moderate injuries.

The accident occurred at 1 p.m. on Route O, south of Beaman Road in Pettis County.
