A complication on Carrollton’s West 1st Street Sewer Main Project prompted the town council to rebid the project.

Mayor Susan Bliss explains what led to the council’s decision to rebid the project, two weeks after accepting the initial bid.

The council accepted the new bid from Shane Poe, who will make the emergency repairs before returning to complete the project early next year.

Council members also approved a rezoning request from Carrollton R-VII Schools for land formerly occupied by one of their buildings.

The Carrollton Town Council also considered appointments to the public safety and Amtrak station boards at Monday’s meeting.
