The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will offer a free waste pesticide collection event on Saturday, October 5, at 901 South Main Street in Carrollton.

This will be the last collection event scheduled in 2024. The event will be open from 8 a.m. to noon and is available to all Missouri farms and households.

The accepted items include herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, rodenticides, de-wormers, fly tags, and fertilizers containing pesticide. Collections are limited to 8,000 pounds of total weight per farm or household.

Pesticide rinsate, paint, explosives, fire extinguishers, yard waste, electronics, trash, and pesticides from businesses will not be accepted.
